Article Processing and Publication Fees
The journal “Art and Design” adheres to the principles of open science and provides full open access to all published materials. All articles in the journal are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 license, which provides full open access to scientific materials. The journal operates under the Gold Open Access model, according to which the full texts of all articles are openly available for reading, downloading, copying, distributing or using, provided that the source is properly cited.
Free access to the journal materials is provided through a publication fee (Article Processing Charge, APC), which may be paid by the author, the author's institution or a third party funding the research.
The journal adheres to the Fair Open Access Alliance recommendations for providing a transparent fee structure.
The journal “Art and Design” does not charge a fee for submission or review. The publication fee is used exclusively to cover the costs associated with editorial preparation, technical support and printing of the publication: editorial and technical processing of manuscripts, layout, DOI assignment, support of the journal website and archiving of materials.
Payment of the publication fee does not affect editorial decisions. All articles undergo independent review, and the decision on their publication is made solely on the basis of scientific quality and compliance with the thematic profile of the journal.
The cost of printing one A4 page is 100 UAH; the cost of one printed copy is 500 UAH.
Articles submitted by applicants for the third level of higher education, a budget form of training, completed by them alone (without co-authors) are exempt from any payment (contributions) for processing, reviewing and/or publishing articles. Together with the article, applicants for the third level of higher education (postgraduate students) studying on a budget form are required to submit a certificate from the postgraduate department confirming the appropriate form of study. Such a certificate must be properly executed, signed by the head of the postgraduate department and certified by the seal of the relevant structural unit.
Payment of the publication fee is made only after the article is accepted for publication.
Payment details are sent to the author after a positive decision on the publication of the article.
After payment, a copy of the receipt must be sent to the editorial board's email address [email protected].

The fee for processing the article covers the following costs:
- editing the text part of the manuscript;
- proofreading of the style and grammar of the manuscript;
- layout of the article;
- processing of figures and preparation of text within graphs;
- adjustment of references in accordance with APA style;
- assignment of the DOI of the manuscript.
Refund policy
Refunds are possible only in cases of significant circumstances that make it impossible to publish the article after completion of the editorial process. Fees are not refundable in cases of article withdrawal by the authors, retraction or correction by the editorial board, force majeure circumstances, or other situations beyond the control of the editorial board.
