APPLICATION OF THE PRINCIPLES OF HARMONIZATION OF THE UKRAINIAN NATIONAL COSTUME ELEMENTS IN THE PROCESS OF MODERN CLOTHING DESIGN

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to create an up-to-date collection of youth women's clothing by means of visual harmonization of the leading artistic and compositional characteristics of the Ukrainian national costume.  For  the  analysis  of  literary sources of information the literary-analytical method was used; for analysis of visual sources and material materials  -  visual-analytical  method;  for  the transformation  of  certain  characteristics  into  the principles  of  clothing  design  -  a  method  of
morphological analysis. Findings. On the basis of the characteristics
of  the  Ukrainian  national  costume,  in  combination with the modern technology of sublimation printing, the  tectonic  structure  and  ornamentation  of  youth women's clothing has been improved.
Originality. The rational approaches to the design  principles  of  the  youth  women's  clothing collection are theoretically justified and created, the priority  of  which  is  the  visual  harmonization  of  its components. Practical  value.  An  actual  author's collection  of  women's  clothing  with  the  use  of technology  of  sublimation  printing  on  a  fabric  has
been  developed  based  on  artistic  composition characteristics of the Ukrainian national costume.
