FAIR policy

The Editorial Board adheres to the principles of Open Science and supports the implementation of the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) for the dissemination of research data associated with scientific publications.

This policy applies to all submitted manuscripts unless otherwise justified by the nature of the research or existing ethical, legal, or commercial restrictions.

Research data are understood as primary and processed data, software code, algorithms, protocols, metadata, and other materials necessary for the verification, reproducibility, and reuse of research results.

Research data are recommended to be deposited in repositories with the assignment of a persistent unique identifier (e.g., DOI).

Data should be accessible via open and standard access protocols. In cases of restricted access, authors must clearly state the reasons for such restrictions and the conditions under which access may be granted.

Data and metadata should be provided in open or widely accepted formats, using relevant disciplinary standards and controlled vocabularies.

Data must be accompanied by sufficient documentation and a license specifying the terms of reuse (e.g., Creative Commons licenses).

Submitted manuscripts may include a dedicated section specifying:

  • the location of data storage;
  • access identifiers;
  • terms of use or reasons for data unavailability.

In cases where data cannot be made publicly available due to ethical, legal, or other justified reasons, authors must provide an appropriate explanation and, where possible, publish metadata instead.

The editorial board reserves the right to evaluate compliance of submitted research data with this policy as part of the editorial and peer review process.
