MAIN TEXT OF THE ARTICLE
Times New Roman, 12 pt, line spacing – 1, paragraph indent – 1.25 cm, justified alignment.
A scientific article should include the following structural elements:
Introduction
Statement of the problem in a general form and its connection with important practical tasks (5–10 lines); relevance and expediency of the issue (5–10 lines); recent studies and publications relied upon by the author; identification of unresolved aspects of the general problem addressed in the article (usually about 1/3 page).
Problem Statement
Formulation of the article objectives. This section is highly important because it allows readers to determine the usefulness of the proposed article. The purpose of the article should arise from the general problem statement and review of previous research, aiming to eliminate existing research gaps (5–10 lines).
Research Results
Presentation of the research material itself (5–6 pages of text). A limited article size requires focusing on the most important findings. Sometimes it is sufficient to formulate the research objective, briefly mention the solution method, and present the obtained results. If there are no strict volume limitations, a more detailed description of the methodology is advisable.
Conclusions
The conclusions of the study and prospects for further research in this area are briefly presented.
Tables
Times New Roman, 12 pt, line spacing – 1, centered, no paragraph indent. A table mentioned in the text is abbreviated as (Table 4). All tables are numbered consecutively throughout the text using Arabic numerals: Table 1, Table 2, etc. Tables must have thematic titles placed on the left side above the table, written with a capital letter in italics without a period.
Table content: Times New Roman 10/12 pt, line spacing – 1. If certain data are absent, a dash must be inserted. If necessary, notes are placed below the table. When a table continues on the next page, columns should be numbered and the numbering continued. The new page should begin with “Continuation of Table 1”. The table title is not repeated.
Blank line after the table.
Figures
Figures (diagrams, photos, etc.) are submitted in color or black-and-white together with the text at the place of reference and additionally as separate files (*.TIFF, *.jpg, etc.) with a resolution of 300 dpi. Preferred figure width is 9 cm or no more than 17 cm for maps, schemes, and other large materials. Figures should be centered without text wrapping and inserted directly into the text (not into tables).
Symbols, captions, and lines in figures must be clearly visible. Figure captions should include numbering according to the order of appearance in the text.
References to illustrations in the text should contain their serial numbers. All illustrations are numbered consecutively throughout the text: Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc. If there is only one illustration, it is not numbered and the word “figure” is omitted. Illustrations should have thematic titles centered below the figure, written with a capital letter in bold without a period.
Each illustration must include a caption explaining its content and corresponding to the text and illustration itself. Captions should also decode all symbols and abbreviations.
Blank line after the illustration.
Formulae
Formulae must be prepared using the formula editor (built-in Microsoft Word formula editor). Simple formulae and symbols are typed in mathematical style (italic), font size – 10 pt. Complex formulae should be prepared in Microsoft Equation. Formulae longer than 8 cm should be divided into separate blocks up to 8 cm (in exceptional cases – 17 cm).
Formulae are separated from the text above and below by one line spacing. Formula numbering referenced in the text should appear on the right in parentheses. All physical quantities must be presented in the SI system. Decimal fractions are separated by commas.
Formulae are typed in MathType and centered without paragraph indent. Formula numbering is continuous and numeric. Formula numbers (in round brackets, Times New Roman, 12 pt) are aligned to the right on the same line as the formula.
Explanations of symbols and numerical coefficients are placed directly below the formula in the order in which they appear. Each explanation begins on a new line with an indent of 75 mm. The first line starts with the word “where” (without indent).
References
The reference list is an element of the bibliographic apparatus containing descriptions of the sources used. It is placed at the end of the article. Citations in the text should be indicated by numbers in square brackets, for example [1].
References are numbered in the order of citation using Arabic numerals and continuous numbering: Times New Roman, 12 pt, line spacing – 1, no paragraph indent, justified alignment.
The reference list must contain at least 10 sources in the original language and be formatted according to DSTU 8302:2015. References in the manuscript text are placed in square brackets.
References section
Times New Roman, 11 pt, line spacing – 1.0, no paragraph indent, justified alignment. The list of references must be transliterated (Ukrainian transliteration: http://www.slovnyk.ua/services/translit.php) and translated into English according to international bibliographic standards.
