MANUSCRIPT FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS
REFERENCING GUIDELINES (in accordance with DSTU 8302:2015)
ANTI-PLAGIARISM STATEMENT
Only manuscripts that have not been previously published in print or electronic media are accepted for publication. Reprinting and any other use of materials published in the journal “Fashion Industry” are permitted only with the consent of the Editorial Board and with mandatory reference to the original source.
The author is responsible for compliance with all submission requirements, including copyright regulations, the accuracy of factual data (including citations and references), as well as the correctness of names and titles.
By submitting a manuscript, the author grants the Editorial Board the right to publish (post) the submitted material in both print and electronic formats; to disseminate and distribute the submitted materials in any form; to include them as part of thematic collections; and to subject them to peer review, editing, or rejection.
The author agrees that the use of submitted materials by the Editorial Board, whether direct or indirect, is carried out without payment of royalties and waives the right to receive financial compensation from the sale of journal copies.
Articles are published in the original language and must be accompanied by an extended abstract in both Ukrainian and English, covering all structural elements of the paper. The extended English abstract serves as the primary source of information for international scholars and specialists and is a key requirement for inclusion in international scientometric databases.
General Requirements for Manuscript Submission
The Editorial Board of the journal “Fashion Industry” accepts scientific articles based on research findings and scientific and technical developments. Submitted manuscripts are reviewed by the Editorial Board and, upon receiving a positive peer review, are accepted for publication.
Manuscript Submission Requirements
To submit a manuscript, authors must provide:
- A printed manuscript signed by the authors, including abstracts in Ukrainian and an extended abstract in English.
- An electronic version of the manuscript with abstracts in Ukrainian and English. The file name must follow this format (in English): AuthorSurname_Article (e.g., Karpenko_Article).
- An electronic file and printed version of author information in Ukrainian and English. The file name must follow this format: AuthorSurname_Info_eng (e.g., Karpenko_Info_eng).
- A copy of the payment receipt confirming publication fee payment (payment is made after peer review and acceptance).
- A signed agreement confirming that the manuscript has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
- Authors’ consent for plagiarism screening.

Requirements for the Structure and Formatting of Manuscripts
- Author information: full name (surname, first name, patronymic) without abbreviations; academic title and degree; exact job title and affiliation (full name of the department or other structural unit, without abbreviations); work and home postal addresses with ZIP codes; email address (preferably personal rather than institutional); work, home, and mobile phone numbers; main research interests.
- Abstracts: provided in two languages (Ukrainian and English); keywords (phrases) also in two languages, 5–8 items (not taken from the title).
Structure of abstracts (not less than 1800 characters), including the following sections:
- Introduction and purpose of the study: clearly describe the rationale for conducting the research based on previous studies. This section should end with a clear statement of the research question or hypothesis. Then state the purpose of the study.
- Methods: list the methods used without excessive methodological detail and indicate the most important results obtained.
- Results: present the main findings without introductory remarks. Only key statistical data should be provided in parentheses. Do not include conclusions here.
- Conclusions: clearly present the key conclusions. A brief general interpretation of the results and/or recommendations for further research may be included.
Requirements for Article Structure and Formatting
- problem statement and its relation to important scientific and practical tasks;
- analysis of recent publications on the topic;
- unresolved aspects of the problem;
- purpose of the study;
- presentation of main results and their justification;
- conclusions and prospects for further research;
- all structural sections must be highlighted in bold in the text;
- all statistical data must be supported by references;
- all quotations must include references;
- references to textbooks and popular science literature are undesirable;
- self-citations are discouraged and allowed only when necessary;
- if a scientist’s name is mentioned in the text, their publication must be included in the reference list;
- secondary citation is not allowed;
- line spacing – 1.5; font – 12 pt; margins – 2.5 cm on all sides;
- file format: Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx); font: Times New Roman;
- all non-text elements must be created using Microsoft Word tools (e.g., Excel Chart, Equation);
- only standard symbols in formulas;
- tables must be numbered and have titles;
- figures and graphs must be numbered and have titles;
- the reference list must contain at least 10 sources, in original languages, formatted according to DSTU 8302:2015;
- in-text citations must be placed in square brackets;
A separate References list must be provided, formatted according to international standards, with transliteration from Ukrainian (http://www.slovnyk.ua/services/translit.php).
The editorial board reserves the right to make minor edits and reductions while preserving the main conclusions and the author’s style.
MANUSCRIPTS THAT DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
The final decision on publication is made by the editorial board, and the author(s) will be notified by phone or email.
