ANALYSIS OF ARTISTIC AND COMPOSITE MEANS FOR FORMATION OF MODELS OF DESIGNER MADELEINE VIONNET

Abstract

Study of art-compositional means for shaping the models of clothes of the famous couturier of the 20th century Madeleine Vionnet and her design techniques with the purpose of developing a classification for use in the design of modern clothing.  The  scientific  methods  of historical-chronological,  comparative-historical analysis,  decomposition  of  the  costume  into separate elements, synthesis and systematization are
used. Results.  In  this  article  the  artistic  and compositional  means  of  shaping  the  clothes  of  the founder of the slanting technique M. Vionnet were Analyzed  and  systematized,  namely,  the  ways  of draping the material, the type of the configuration of the  parts,  the  techno-finishing  techniques,  and  the textural  decisions  of  her  models  of  women's
clothing are structured on the basis of analyzing the pictures of the couturier's works, which are gathered in collections of museums around the world. Scientific  novelty  consists  in  the systematization of artistic and compositional means of  shaping  the  models  of  the  designer  M.  Vionnet and  their  generalization  for  the  purpose  of application in collections of modern clothing. Practical significance is that the collected
material,  their  analysis  and  theoretical generalization  could  be  used  in  further  scientific research and in the creation of informative database
on  the  design  of  clothing  about  artistic  and compositional  means  of  harmonizing  fashion images.
