Abstract

Purpose. To study the compliance of posture indicators of primary school age girls with the current
anthropometric normative and technical documentation.
Methodology. The work uses a contact method of obtaining anthropometric information characterizing
the child's posture. The anthropological method was used to determine the types of girls' postures.
Results. In the manufacture of clothing according to the existing regulatory and technical
documentation, changes in children's posture are not taken into account, which leads to a violation
of the conformity of the finished product to the figure. This also indicates the need for an extensive study of the body structure of the child population, namely, the definition of posture types and their
quantitative characteristics. The discrepancy between the posture indicators of modern girls and the
current standards was established, namely, the deviation of the position of the body of the PK and the
waist depth of the first GtI was 5% and 8%, respectively, which is characteristic of the kyphotic type
ofposture.
Scientific novelty. On the basis of the analysis of posture of modern figures of girls of primary
school age the values of deviations of dimensional signs of Pk and GtI from typical values, which are
characteristic for a normal figure, are established. The correspondence of posture characteristics for
typical figures of girls 128-64-60 and 134-64-60 was also determined.
Practical value. The values of dimensional features of modern figures of girls of primary school age
of 6.5-9.0 years, characterizing posture, were determined. Such an anthropometric information base
expands the possibilities of designing harmonious and proportional children's clothing.
