ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF THE GROWTH OF INDUSTRY MARKETS: THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS AND MODERN APPROACHES

Abstract

The article examines the theoretical foundations and modern approaches to the economic evaluation of the growth of industry markets, taking into account ESG factors. It is substantiated that in the context of global transformations and increasing requirements for sustainable development, traditional methods of assessing economic dynamics need to be supplemented with non-financial indicators reflecting environmental, social, and governance aspects of activity. The role of industry markets as a key level for the formation of a competitive environment, innovation activity, and investment processes is determined. Modern scientific approaches to the integration of ESG factors into the system of economic analysis are analyzed, which makes it possible to improve the accuracy of assessing market development and their long-term sustainability. The existence of a positive relationship between the level of ESG practices implementation and financial performance, innovation activity, and competitiveness of enterprises is proven. Special attention is paid to the problems of standardization of ESG indicators and the complexity of their quantitative measurement. The use of the D-ESG model is proposed as an innovative approach to the comprehensive evaluation of the development of industry markets, combining economic growth indicators with environmental, social, and governance metrics. A system of indicators is characterized, which allows for industry benchmarking, evaluation of resource use efficiency, and determination of the level of sustainable development. It is established that the integration of ESG factors contributes to the formation of new competitive advantages, increases investment attractiveness, and ensures long-term economic growth.
